Andrew Spence

Past tech and engineering guy, recovering coffee snob...I pivoted to Human Resources mid-way through my career. As an HR leader, I drive growth in employees and organizational development that supports company objectives. I have operationalized strategic plans and rolled out major corporate initiatives focussed on People and Culture.

I want to bring my perspective to the table and cross functions (HR, finance, operations, planning) in order to make a real difference and drive growth. I am most happy working at the strategic level, and every once in a while rolling up my sleeves and working at the tactical level.

People ask me all the time why I would leave technology work for Human Resources. Ultimately, I'm a people person who wants to develop relationships and help individuals grow their careers, and really themselves. Along the way I realized that it's the relationships and trust that build culture and engagement.

Outside of the consulting world you will find me on my mountain bike in the trails with my dog, on the ski hill, or most likely at a hockey rink cheering on one of my kids. The power of sport and the outdoors is what restores me and energizes me.
